Second-round interviews were conducted following analysis of badge records (E04, E11), CCTV footage (E03, E12), and financial documents (E06, E13). Six witnesses were re-interviewed. Four statements of material value are reproduced below.
STATEMENT 1 — DEV KAPOOR (Director of Photography)
"I was on Stage 4 from about 19:50 until the alarm went up. We were doing a lighting rig breakdown — takes at least six people and you can't leave mid-task. Ankit, Rajan, Mehul, Faisal and Poonam were all with me. Ask any of them. I didn't leave Stage 4 once. I heard about Arjun from Poonam — she got a call from the canteen. My first reaction was that someone had fainted. Then I heard it was worse."
Verification
Statements obtained from Ankit Sharma (camera operator), Rajan More (gaffer), Mehul Patil (grip), Faisal Qureshi (lighting technician), and Poonam Srivastava (1st AC) confirm Dev Kapoor was present on Stage 4 continuously from approximately 19:45 to 20:55. Stage 4 badge log (E04) is consistent with this — six badge scans for DK-DOP-0073 recorded between 19:52 and 21:09.
STATEMENT 2 — NANDINI KAPOOR (Director)
"After the final shot wrapped at about 17:25 I went to my editing suite — Suite 3B. I changed out of my jacket there. I left it on the hook near the entrance. I do this every day. My badge was on the jacket — I always keep it there. I was in the suite from around 17:30 onward. I was reviewing the rough cut with my editor, Saurabh, from about 19:50. Priya — she's a runner — brought us chai around 20:10. She can confirm she saw me there. I didn't leave until Saurabh told me about Arjun at around 20:55. I don't know how my badge ended up in Trailer Block C. I never went there. Arjun and I barely spoke after the final shot. He had no reason to want to see me."
Verification
Saurabh Jain (film editor) confirms Nandini Kapoor arrived in Suite 3B at approximately 17:35 and remained there until approximately 20:55 without leaving. Runner Priya Kadam confirms delivering chai at 20:12 and seeing Kapoor at the editing workstation. Badge NK-DIR-0089 scan at R-EDIT-01 at 20:51:38 is consistent with re-scanning upon leaving the suite after being asked to account for the badge by security.
STATEMENT 3 — PRIYANKA BHATIA (Personal Assistant)
"I left the studios around 7:58 in the evening. I had a personal appointment — my sister's birthday dinner. Sameer had cleared me for the evening since we'd wrapped. I was back by around 9:15. I know it looks bad that I left, but it was planned. I posted on Instagram from the restaurant. The timestamp will show I was there."
Verification
Instagram story posted by account @priyankab.mumbai at 20:31 shows a table setting at Estella Restaurant, Juhu. The restaurant confirms a booking under "Bhatia" for 7 persons from 20:15 to 22:00. Badge log (E04) records main gate exit at 19:57:44 and return at 21:12:03, consistent with the timeline above.
STATEMENT 4 — SAMEER RANE (Producer)
"I stepped out for some fresh air around a quarter to eight. I drove to the bund and sat for a while. I do this sometimes when I'm stressed. Wrap days are complicated — there's always something that needs to go right. I came back around twenty to nine. I didn't see anyone. I didn't go near the trailers. I hadn't spoken to Arjun since mid-afternoon — we'd had a brief call about the press run schedule."
Officer Note
Rane states he drove to "the bund" — which he clarified as the Aarey Milk Colony access road perimeter, approximately 5 minutes from Film City by car. No CCTV coverage exists along that stretch. No independent witness has confirmed seeing him there. His vehicle exited at 19:51 and returned at 20:40 (E14). His badge went dormant from 19:47 until 20:38. He does not mention the editing suite, the Trailer Block, or badge NK-DIR-0089 without being directly asked.
