SUITE 214 — FULL KEY CARD ACCESS LOG
Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur · 21 March 2025 (Full Day) · Re-issued 25 March 2025

⚠ AMENDED REPORT — SUPERSEDES INITIAL FILING
The key card log submitted on 22 March 2025 (ref: TLP-SEC-2025-0322-VT, filed as E06) was extracted from the primary access server only. Upon SIT request for full data, IT staff identified that a secondary logging partition — installed during the October 2024 system upgrade — had captured additional entries and exits via door-close sensors. Unlike the primary partition (which records entries only), the secondary partition logs both entry and exit events. This amended log includes all events from both partitions. The entry at 23:06 PM was absent from the initial report and was not cross-referenced at the time of the original police inquiry.

Security System Note — Why the Entry Was Missing
The Taj Lake Palace upgraded its access control system in October 2024. During the upgrade, the presidential suite wing (Rooms 210–218) was placed on a secondary logging server while the primary system was being migrated. The secondary partition logs to a separate database shard that was not included in the initial extract script run by the IT department on 22 March 2025. The omission was not intentional. The complete data was recovered in full on 25 March 2025 following an SIT request for raw server logs rather than a generated report.
ALIBI IMPACT: Deepa Singhania stated in her initial police interview that she "did not go upstairs at all" during the reception, and that she was present in the hall the entire evening except for a brief trip to the bathroom. This statement is directly contradicted by the key card log. She entered Suite 214 at 23:06 — 21 minutes before Harish returned — and was inside for 13 minutes.
CRITICAL — OPPORTUNITY ESTABLISHED: The wine and glasses were delivered at 22:15. The suite was empty and unlocked from 22:17 onwards. Deepa entered at 23:06 — 49 minutes after the wine was placed on the side table — and spent 13 unobserved minutes inside before leaving at 23:19. Harish entered at 23:27 and poured himself a glass. Time of death: 23:15–23:50. The sequence leaves no unexplained window.
