Region	Observations
Head / Skull	Single depressed fracture — left parieto-occipital region. Wound entry approximately 4.5 cm diameter. Shape and margin consistent with a smooth-surfaced, rounded blunt object. No exit wound. Laceration of overlying scalp — 3.2 cm. No other head injuries.
Face / Neck	No ligature marks. Mild facial cyanosis consistent with rapid loss of consciousness post-impact. No petechial haemorrhage.
Upper limbs	No defensive injuries. No perimortem bruising to forearms, wrists, or knuckles. Fingernails intact.
Lower limbs	Minor abrasion — right knee, consistent with secondary contact with floor surface after initial fall/collapse. No perimortem injuries.
Body position at scene	Supine, feet toward desk, head toward bookshelf. Police photo appended (FSL/PUN/2025/ICC-001-03).

System	Findings
CNS — Brain	Epidural haematoma — left hemisphere, approximately 60 mL. Contrecoup bruising absent. Pattern consistent with a single-impact blunt force event, not fall trauma. Death by primary brain injury — rapid progression.
Cardiovascular	Mild coronary artery disease — not contributing to death. No cardiac event.
Respiratory	No aspiration. Lungs clear. No asphyxiation.
Gastrointestinal	Stomach contents: approximately 150 mL liquid (tea/coffee, consistent with late-afternoon consumption). No alcohol detected by gastric sampling.

The body's position near the bookshelf is not consistent with the impact trajectory. A fall from the bookshelf would produce lateral scalp contact. The wound site — left parieto-occipital — is consistent with a blow delivered while the subject was seated or standing with his back to the assailant. Secondary scatter of papers across the floor shows non-gravitational displacement (at least two items at body height, found beyond 1.4m from nearest surface). Scene staging is probable.

Based on core body temperature at scene (rectal — 34.8°C at 21:45), rigor mortis staging, and ambient temperature of 24°C: estimated TOD 20:30 – 21:10 on 6 March 2025. Margin of error ±20 minutes.

Closed head injury — epidural haematoma — caused by single blunt force impact to left parieto-occipital region. Impact characteristics are inconsistent with an accidental fall against a flat or irregular surface. A smooth-surfaced, rounded blunt instrument is the most probable weapon.
